We take care of all procedures in one go
In the event our customers are making use of rail containers, we, as rail transportation operators, handle all the procedures, from concluding transportation contracts with customers, receiving orders, arranging for collection and delivery, and completing the necessary procedures with JR Freight. We provide our customers with efficient integrated transportation services on a nationwide network, utilizing our networks from Hokkaido to Kyushu in partnership with JR Freight and other rail carriers nationwide.

Rail container transportation is said to be the most environmentally friendly mode of transportation, emitting 1/10th of the CO2 and consuming 1/4th of the energy of truck transportation.

In addition to JR Freight’s 12ft general-purpose containers, we are able to provide containers that meet customers’ needs, such as temperature-controllable cool containers and 31ft wing containers that can carry almost the same amount of cargo as a large truck.

Maruwn Group is promoting modal shifts as a means of reducing our environmental impact. Modal shifts refer to the switch from cargo transport using trucks and other vehicles to rail and ships, which have a smaller environmental impact. As modal shifts are noted for not only reducing CO2 emissions, but also improving logistics efficiency and, in the case of long-distance transportation, reducing the burden on drivers, we offer logistics solutions based on modal shifts.
