Process for Identifying Top-Priority Issues

As a logistics company, the Maruwn Group collaborates with diverse stakeholders to build a sustainable society. With a long-term perspective, we have identified 18 key issues that need to be addressed. Among these, we have selected six top-priority issues that require the most immediate and focused efforts.

1.Identification of Key Issues

Understanding Social Trends:
We identify social issues and challenges in the logistics industry based on ESG evaluation criteria and the 17 SDGs (169 targets).
Based on this, we conducted hearings and surveys with stakeholders and identified 18 key issues for the Maruwn Group.
Incorporating ESG Management Issues and Linking to SDGs:
The 18 identified key issues are categorized into relevant areas under E (Environment), S (Social), and G (Governance), while also being linked to the 17 SDG goals (169 targets).

2.Identification of “Top Priority Issues”

Maruwn Group assessed the 18 key issues based on two axes: “importance from a stakeholder perspective” and “importance for the Maruwn Group” to comprehensively evaluate and identify the most critical issues to address.
As a result, six top priority issues were identified.

3.Setting Long-Term Goals for Priority Issues

The Maruwn Group will set long-term goals for the top priority issues and work on initiatives to achieve them.
