Basic Approach

In recent years, more efforts have been made to solve social issues, such as working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In conjunction with this, increasing demands have been placed on companies. In the midst of these circumstances, the Maruwn Group recognizes that as a logistics company in charge of the infrastructure for social activities, we have a great responsibility to work on solving the challenges faced by society. In addition, for our sustainable growth, we must be a corporate group that is trusted by society.

As such, guided by the Maruwn Group Management Philosophy, we have transitioned to an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) focused management structure with the aim of realizing a sustainable society through collaboration with various stakeholders.

SDGs Initiatives

SDGs were adopted unanimously at the UN Summit held in September 2015. They consist of 17 goals to be addressed on a global scale and 169 specific targets for achieving those goals by 2030 in order to bring about a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society that leaves no one behind.

The Maruwn Group recognizes the importance of SDGs, which are goals shared by the international society as a whole, and will contribute to their achievement by solving the challenges that apply to the Group.
